A dedicated and compassionate school psychologist is sought for a K-12 caseload spread across multiple schools. Serving in a full-time, in-person capacity, you’ll have the opportunity to positively impact a diverse student population, fostering environments where every child can thrive academically and emotionally.

This contract runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 32-37.5 hours per week. You’ll work districtwide in the beautiful Torrington and Winsted, CT areas, collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families.

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification (state-required)
  • Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology
  • Experience supporting K-12 students in educational settings
  • Strong skills in assessment, intervention, consultation, and case management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
  • Commitment to in-person service for the full contract duration

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students across all grade levels
  • Deliver targeted interventions for social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Support crisis intervention and contribute to schoolwide prevention programs
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to students, staff, and families with clarity and empathy
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
