Account Executive

Job Summary

The Account Executive is responsible for generating, developing, and closing new business opportunities for SponsorCX. This is a full-cycle sales role that includes outbound prospecting, discovery, product demonstrations, opportunity management, and closing.

This role is ideal for a developing sales professional ready to build strong full-cycle selling skills and take increasing ownership of pipeline and revenue. Success requires consistent activity, strong communication and follow-through, coachability, resilience, and curiosity about our product and customers.


Responsibilities

Pipeline Generation & Prospecting

  • Generate new sales opportunities through consistent outbound prospecting across calls, email, LinkedIn, and other sales channels.
  • Research and engage target accounts and contacts within SponsorCX’s ideal customer profile.
  • Continuously improve prospecting effectiveness through coaching, feedback, and performance data.

Discovery & Sales Execution

  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, priorities, buying process, and fit.
  • Qualify opportunities and deliver product demonstrations that connect SponsorCX capabilities to prospect needs.
  • Manage appropriate opportunities from initial outreach through close, including follow-up, objections, pricing, proposals, and next steps.

Product & Sales Knowledge

  • Develop strong knowledge of SponsorCX’s platform, customer use cases, value proposition, and the sponsorship management industry.
  • Stay current on product updates, sales messaging, competitive information, and market trends.
  • Use that knowledge to communicate effectively and build credibility with prospects.

Sales Discipline & Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity updates, activity tracking, and forecasts.
  • Follow established sales processes and use sales tools and reporting to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product as needed to support opportunities and share customer insights.

Qualifications

Required

  • 0–2 years of sales, business development, customer-facing, or related experience
  • Experience in SaaS or technology sales
  • Experience with outbound prospecting, cold calling, or lead generation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and communicate SaaS or technical product concepts
  • Coachability and a demonstrated ability to improve through feedback
  • Resilience and the ability to maintain consistency in a goal-oriented sales environment

Preferred

  • Experience using CRM systems, sales engagement tools, or SaaS sales processes
  • Experience supporting or delivering product demos and moving opportunities through the sales process
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales or revenue goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent relevant experience


Work Environment

  • This role is expected to work a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)
  • This role may include some travel, up to 4 times per year for 2-4 days at a time.
