Senior Accountant | $95,000 to $115,000 + Bonus/Benefits

Brilliant is working with a growing organization in the AEC space that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its accounting team.
\n
\n
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the accounting process, working through month end close, and having exposure to a variety of accounting functions. The role will work closely with the broader accounting and finance team and offers the opportunity for continued growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:

- \n
- Manage and support the monthly, quarterly, and year end close process
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement analysis
- Assist with financial reporting and preparation of monthly financial statements
- Manage general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities as needed
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Assist with annual audits and tax-related requests
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Work cross functionally with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and provide financial information

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Experience with month end close and financial statement preparation
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader team
- CPA or CPA candidacy is a plus
