We are seeking two experienced Instructional Designers with a proven background in eLearning development and proficiency using Articulate Storyline and Rise. The successful candidates will play a critical role in supporting our transition from our current Learning Management System (LMS) to a new platform. You’ll be responsible for auditing digital learning content, redesigning or rebuilding assets as needed, ensuring all content meets technical and accessibility standards, and supporting the end-to-end migration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Locate and inventory existing source files, including authoring files, video project files, and assessment templates.
- Assess content condition, compatibility, and migration readiness for the new LMS.
- Identify content requiring rebuild, redesign, or remediation based on migration requirements.
- Update, refine, or rebuild eLearning courses, videos, assessments, and exams using Articulate Storyline and Rise.
- Ensure all learning materials comply with new LMS technical and design standards, including accessibility requirements.
- Apply consistent visual, instructional, and accessibility standards as defined by PetSmart.
- Prepare finalized learning assets for seamless upload to the new LMS.
- Support QA, testing, and validation of migrated content; address defects or issues identified during stakeholder review.
- Design and implement an organized, standardized source file management system.
- Document file organization standards/procedures to enable ongoing management after contract ends.
- Provide instructional design and development support for other small learning projects as assigned, subject to availability and company priorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years professional experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
- Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
- Experience supporting LMS migration projects highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design processes, and accessibility (WCAG).
- Skilled in organizing, cataloging, and managing large volumes of digital assets.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a large retail or corporate learning environment.
- Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and video editing tools.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in eLearning.
