Hotel Blackhawk and The Current Iowa, are Marriott Autograph Collection hotels, that are in downtown Davenport, Iowa on the beautiful Mississippi river. The Role
You’ll be the GM’s right-hand, owning Food & Beverage operations and guest programming. Your mission: elevate service, drive profit, and bring our distinctive personality to life through inspired F&B and engaging events.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee restaurant, bar, and banquets—ensure seamless daily operations, superior guest experience, and adherence to safety and brand standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, coach, and inspire staff; foster a high‑performing culture through ongoing mentorship and leadership presence.
- Programming & Events: Design, plan, and execute signature events (e.g., mixology nights, seasonal menus, local partnerships); oversee BEOs, coordination, and logistics.
- P&L & Budget Oversight: Own F&B budgets, forecasting, cost controls, inventory management; analyze revenue trends and optimize financial performance.
- Guest Experience: Consistently deliver elevated hospitality, manage guest feedback, and maintain top-tier service standards.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales/Marketing, Front Office, Culinary, and External Partners to align programming with brand identity and occupancy strategy.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in F&B leadership—preferably in boutique, luxury, or lifestyle hotels.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or Culinary Arts (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record in P&L ownership and cost management.
- Demonstrated success designing and executing guest-facing programs and events.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings/weekends for events and busy service periods.
