We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for completing maintenance work orders and other required tasks. 1st shift position, 8 am to 4:30 pm, however OT may be required as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities:
- Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
- Estimate time and extent of repairs
- Make sketches or diagrams of replacement parts or systems
- Perform routine preventive mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems of the plant and equipment
- Maintain material and supply inventory for common and critical spare parts
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
- Diagnose machine malfunctions and make required repairs and adjustments to keep machine in production
- Assist in the completion of special projects (equipment, building, safety)
- Assemble, align and rebuild machinery
- Maintain clean sand safe working environment
- Available to be "on-call" for equipment and building maintenance problems (off shifts and weekends on rotating schedule)
- Assist Machine Operators when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Must be able to use a multi-meter to troubleshoot electrical issues
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Positive "can do" attitude
Education / Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good plumbing skills including sizing and installing copper, black iron, galvanized and PVC pipe, gauges, valves, meters and fixtures
- Good computer literacy with Microsoft programs
- Good understanding of electrical systems including: distribution, circuits, wiring, fuses, switches, and relays
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance (clean, inspect, lubricate)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems including: belts, pulleys, motors, gears and transmissions
- Good ability to read schematics and blueprints, along with sufficient electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to trace problems when prints are not available
- Basic understanding of pneumatic systems and devices
