Job Description

About the Positions

We're seeking Project Coordinators at various levels to support large, heavy-civil infrastructure programs—including highways, roads, bridges, transit (including rail and bus), and airport projects delivered through both traditional and alternative methods, with a strong emphasis on Rail and Signaling projects. These roles are pivotal in driving large civil construction projects forward, ensuring they stay on track, within budget, and aligned with our company's vision. You'll be at the heart of our operations, collaborating with teams, resolving challenges, and keeping everything running smoothly. If you're an organized go-getter who loves bringing projects to life, this is the perfect role for you!

This posting is for future roles and not for a specific opportunity that is available right now. We accept applications and conduct interviews in advance of upcoming hiring needs. When a candidate is selected, their profile is activated in our talent pool for this specialty area. We notify our talent pool candidates first whenever we have a project need. This posting targets the greater Washington DC metro area.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain project data and information in the client's project management software system.
  • Update data in the project management system through direct input of contract related data or uploading data files.
  • Monitor daily activities and report on job progress in field construction, operational impacts, escort needs, and field discrepancies.
  • Coordinate scopes of work and work packages, develop construction schedules, and prepare supporting correspondence for the project manager's and/or task manager's approval.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures identified in the project implementation manual and provide project staff with guidance on the use and application of Procore.
  • Prepare punch lists at the completion of contract milestones and inspection for completion of work.
  • Assist with preparation of project status reports to track progress and monitor project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans.
  • Develop and update estimates, budgets, cash flows, accruals, etc., and assist with other financial planning/reporting tasks.

Attributes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative mindset that fosters teamwork, trust, and positive relationships.
  • Natural curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in project/construction management for heavy civil infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of principles and practices of project management and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with industry standard project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification (through PMI).
  • Experience with large (>$500M), complex, heavy-civil infrastructure programs that include highways, roads, bridges, transit (including rail and bus), and/or airport projects.
  • Experience delivering projects through both traditional and alternative methods (e.g., DB, CM/GC, P3).
  • Experience in project management/coordination roles supporting owners.
