Licensing/Training Specialist Salary $47K - $50K DOE Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Must be able to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Gahanna, OH
Job Duties:
- Attend and complete training as required by ODJFS within 90-120 days of hire
- Responsible for all agency's foster care program activities, including home study, TNA records gathering and inputting into SACWIS, monitoring ect.
- Responsible for scheduling, arranging and providing foster care pre-placement and continuing training
- Responsible for developing and implementing foster parents training curriculum, in conjunction with agency administrator.
- Responsible for tracking, documenting, and maintaining foster parents training hours and related information
- Responsible for inputting training information into SACWIS and ODJFS sites
- Responsible for ensuring the information in the parent's records is accurate, and for keeping records in a secure place.
- Identify foster parents training needs and develop ITNA's accordingly
- Conduct home studies and midpoint walkthroughs of foster homes
- Be active in recruiting new families
- Respond to inquiries in a timely manner 1-3 days (72 hours)
- Assure all training and licensing is MEPA compliant
- Responsible for arranging monthly agency-wide foster care training
- Assist with recruiting during agency community recruiting fair
- Develop and maintain active list of approved foster parents' trainers and use list as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in social work and an LSW. Applicants with MSW and applicable license is preferred
- Applicants who possess prior licensing experience are a plus
- Must be able to obtain an Ohio Social Work License
- Must be available to work flexible work schedules (evenings, weekends, daytime)
