Peace Valley Recovery IOP — Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist

Peace Valley Recovery is seeking an SUD Therapist to join our clinical team. This role carries a full caseload and facilitates group therapy for individuals in treatment for substance use disorders.

Salary: $50,000–$60,000, depending on experience

Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (one shift per week is 1:00 PM–9:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

Manage an active caseload of clients in substance use disorder treatment, providing individual therapy and ongoing case management. Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on recovery, relapse prevention, and coping skills. Complete clinical assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with state and facility requirements. Coordinate care with medical staff, case managers, and outside providers as needed. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the client record system. Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate clinical intervention.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field required. Demonstrated experience working with substance use disorder populations. Prior experience carrying a clinical caseload and leading group therapy sessions. Strong documentation and time management skills. Ability to work Tuesday through Saturday, including one 1 PM–9 PM shift weekly.

Preferred

Experience with co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis). Familiarity with evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing).
