We are looking for a skilled Deployment Technician to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA area. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to provide hands on support and deploy new devices across locations in the Philly region and requires a vehicle for travel. Responsibilities:
• Install, repair, upgrade, and maintain hardware, software, peripherals, and scientific research equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, answer user inquiries, and provide troubleshooting support.
• Offer guidance to users on the proper operation and usage of systems and equipment.
• Recommend procurement strategies and provide technical specifications for departmental purchases.
• Conduct regular assessments of the computing environment and propose improvements to technology and processes.
• Participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of technical products, systems, and software.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update assignments and tickets in accordance with established procedures.
• Team-oriented mindset and dedication to providing high-quality service.
• Familiarity with academic or research operations and the application of information systems in such environments.
• Proficiency in computer hardware, Active Directory, configuration management, and Windows.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
