Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in vehicles, machinery, or equipment

• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and brake inspections

• Conduct safety checks and ensure all mechanical systems meet industry standards and regulations

• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify problems in engines, transmissions, suspension systems, etc.

• Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, or specialized machinery

• Maintain accurate service records and update job logs and inspection reports

• Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks and maintain shop efficiency

• Communicate clearly with customers or supervisors regarding issues, repairs, and estimated timelines

• Keep work area clean and organized, and follow all workplace safety procedures

• Stay updated on new technology, repair techniques, and manufacturer service bulletins
