CDL CLASS A DRIVER
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Location: University Park, IL
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
We are looking for an experienced and dependable CDL Class A Driver to join our team. The Driver will operate regional routes transporting steel tubing and other materials using Conestoga and flatbed equipment while ensuring all loads are properly secured and delivered safely.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate CDL Class A equipment on regional routes.
- Transport steel tubing and other materials to customers.
- Operate Conestoga and flatbed trailers.
- Assist with loading and unloading procedures as required.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and strapped according to load securement requirements.
- Complete required trip sheets and delivery documentation.
- Obtain signed bills of lading upon delivery.
- Use required driver communication and routing applications.
- Follow all DOT regulations, safety procedures and company policies.
- Communicate with customers and dispatch regarding deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle and appearance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Flatbed and/or Conestoga experience required.
- Experience handling steel or similar materials preferred.
- Knowledge of proper load securement procedures.
- Ability to safely secure and transport heavy materials.
- Ability to complete trip sheets and required delivery documentation.
- Clean driving record.
- Dependable and punctual with strong attendance.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday.
- Must be comfortable with regional routes and extended shifts.
- Previous flatbed, Conestoga or steel-hauling experience preferred.
Compensation: $30.00 per hour
