Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician II performs preventive and corrective maintenance independently, ensuring reliable equipment operation. This role provides technical support for production teams and mentors Level 1 technicians.

Required Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules with minimal supervision.
• Support production changeovers, setups, and calibration activities.
• Maintain detailed repair records, parts usage logs, and CMMS documentation.
• Identify opportunities for equipment or process improvements.
• Cross-train and maintain working knowledge of multiple systems such as Matrix baggers, Yamato scales, VideoJet printers, conveyors, and wash systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Intermediate troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and VFDs.
• Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Effective communication and coordination with production and QC personnel.

Advancement Criteria

• 90% or higher PM completion rate.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small projects or support system upgrades.
• Proven safety record and ability to mentor junior staff.
• Supervisor and planner recommendation for Level 3 review.
