WhereYoullFit:

Inch&CoOutdoor isseekinga skilled and reliable Shop Mechanic tomaintainand repair landscaping and construction equipment, as well as company fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including trucks, trailers, skid steers, excavators, mowers, and small engines. This roleensures thatall company assets areoperatingefficiently and safely to support daily operations.

WhatYoullBuild:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on landscaping and construction equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on company fleet vehicles (trucks, trailers, etc.) including oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and inspections to ensure DOT, OSHA, and company safety compliance
  • Weld and fabricate parts as needed for equipment repairs
  • Order and manage parts and supplies inventory;maintaindetailed records of all maintenance and repairs
  • Provide emergency roadsideassistancefor fleet vehicles as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment

Your Foundation:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training a plus
  • 25 years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of landscaping/construction equipment and fleet vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems; ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Welding and fabrication skills preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but notrequired
  • Must own basic hand tools; specialized tools provided as needed
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
