Pay Rate: $23–$27 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: On-call rotation schedule
Our client, a leading plant-based ingredients facility located in Rock City, IL, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong electrical experience to join their team. Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all production equipment and facility systems, with a focus on electrical troubleshooting and repair. This role requires availability during scheduled on-call rotations.
Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, controls, and equipment (e.g., motors, panels, PLCs)

Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems

Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimize downtime

Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports
-
Adhere to all safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures

Collaborate with operations and other maintenance team members

Support general facility maintenance as needed
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred

MUST have 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of 480V systems and motor controls

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and equipment manuals

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be able to work an on-call rotation and respond to urgent maintenance needs
