Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings, with a focus on personal injury and mass tort litigation. This role is crucial in ensuring our cases are well-prepared and proceed smoothly through the legal process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
- Manage and organize case files, including evidence and exhibits
- Prepare for trials by organizing exhibits, witnesses, and evidence
- Assist in discovery processes, including document review and preparation
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and trials
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or related field
- Paralegal certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience in litigation, particularly in personal injury or mass tort cases
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in legal research tools and case management software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
