Ultimately, the paralegal contributes to the successful resolution of legal matters by providing comprehensive legal assistance and maintaining organized case files throughout the litigation lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed legal research using Westlaw and other legal databases to support case development and strategy.
  • Draft, review, and organize a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and trials by compiling exhibits, summarizing depositions, and managing case files.
  • Coordinate and manage document review processes to identify relevant information and ensure compliance with discovery obligations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progress and resolve procedural issues.

Skills:

The required skills such as Westlaw and legal research are essential for gathering accurate and relevant case law and statutes that inform legal strategies. Legal writing and document drafting skills are used daily to prepare clear, precise, and persuasive pleadings and correspondence that comply with court rules. Document review and organization skills ensure that all case materials are systematically managed and easily accessible for attorneys and court proceedings.
