Role Description The Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in West, TX. This position is responsible for inspecting electrical and instrumentation installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting field inspections, verifying proper installation and calibration of instruments and control systems, documenting findings, and preparing inspection reports. The inspector collaborates with project managers, engineers, and craft personnel to resolve issues, support quality assurance processes, and confirm that corrective actions are completed. The role also involves participating in pre-commissioning checks, monitoring ongoing work for adherence to quality requirements, and supporting continuous improvement of inspection procedures.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Quality Control and Quality Assurance skills, with experience applying standards and procedures in industrial construction environments.

  • Candidates should possess solid Instrumentation knowledge, including familiarity with control systems, sensors, and industrial instrumentation installations.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess proven Calibration and Inspection skills, with the ability to test, verify, and document instrument performance and electrical integrity.
  • \n

  • Relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation inspection within industrial, manufacturing, or construction settings is highly beneficial.
  • \n

  • Understanding of applicable electrical and safety codes, and commitment to safe work practices in field environments.
  • \n

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, and to produce clear, accurate reports.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary site teams.
  • \n

  • Technical certification, apprenticeship completion, or vocational training in electrical or instrumentation disciplines is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
