Job Description Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Schedule: Monday through Friday 3pm-11:30pm (Trains on 1st shift)
Hourly Pay: $20/hr
Location: Newton, NC

ProStaffing has partnered with a leading steel manufacturing facility in Newton, NC, specializing in the production of axle housings for Freightliner trucks. We are seeking experienced, dependable Line Operators who are ready to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding industrial environment.
This is a heavy industrial position! Candidates should be comfortable working in a hot, dirty manufacturing environment, performing physically demanding tasks throughout their shift. Hard hats, coveralls, and steel-toed boots are required.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production line equipment.
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
- Identify equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production goals.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of recent manufacturing experience required.
- Previous construction, metalworking, or steel manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift experience required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Must have a stable work history with demonstrated job longevity.
- Ability to read a ruler and perform basic math.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding, heavy industrial environment.
- Must wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots, hard hat, and coveralls.
- Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
