Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting early learners by providing occupational therapy to early childhood and kindergarten students on a rewarding contract assignment. This opportunity begins August 12th and continues through November 3rd, offering a structured school-day schedule from 8:00am to 3:30pm, with guaranteed 7.5-hour workdays that include a lunch break.

You’ll work closely with a caseload of approximately 25 students, all within the early childhood and kindergarten age range, offering vital support to help them reach developmental milestones. The warm and collaborative environment is ideal for therapists who are passionate about driving positive change in the lives of young children.

What you’ll bring:

Current Occupational Therapy license (Illinois)
Experience supporting early childhood or school-aged children, ideally in a school-based setting
Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
Ability to tailor interventions to individual students’ needs and educational plans
Adaptability and a proactive approach to meeting students where they are Developmentally
Commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards

Primary responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services as identified in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster functional, fine motor, and sensory-motor skills
Collaborate with educators, school staff, and parents for coordinated student support
Document progress and update student records per school and district guidelines
Consult and participate in team meetings to help students succeed in their educational environment

Pay for this role starts at $43 per hour and may increase based on experience.
