Company Description Infectious Disease Services of Georgia is a board-certified, fellowship-trained medical practice providing comprehensive infectious disease consultation, treatment, and primary care across the metro Atlanta area. With offices in Roswell, Cumming, and Johns Creek, the practice offers coordinated care through a team of six specialists, wound care nurses, a pharmacy consultant, and an on-site infusion center. The team manages complex, hard-to-diagnose, and treatment-resistant infections, as well as ongoing primary care needs, drawing on extensive expertise in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Services include management of a wide range of infections, office-based intravenous therapies, comprehensive wound care, travel medicine, immunizations, and pharmacy consultation. The practice is ACHC-accredited, accepts most major insurance plans, and is committed to treating every patient as an individual while providing safe, high-quality care.

Role Description This full-time, on-site Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) role is based in Roswell, GA. The PA-C will provide direct patient care in collaboration with infectious disease physicians, including conducting comprehensive histories and physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans for acute and chronic infectious diseases. Daily responsibilities include hospital rounding on inpatients, managing follow-up visits, monitoring response to therapy, providing wound care as appropriate, coordinating infusion and pharmacy services, and supporting patients with chronic conditions such as HIV and hepatitis C. The PA-C will also provide patient education on disease prevention, medication adherence, and travel-related health, while maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record and participating in quality and safety initiatives within the practice.

Qualifications

- Current Physician Assistant certification (NCCPA) and unrestricted Georgia PA license, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
- Clinical experience or strong interest in Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, or related specialties, including management of acute and chronic infections.
- Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and development of treatment plans in outpatient and/or infusion-center settings.
- Ability to perform wound care, support intravenous therapy coordination, and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care and clear patient education.
- Comfort with electronic health records, e-prescribing, and standard clinical documentation workflows.
- Ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment, manage a consistent patient schedule, and prioritize tasks in a busy practice.
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program; prior outpatient infectious disease or primary care experience is preferred but not required.
