Job Description
As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Graniteville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with clear, professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing and/or support location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying credentials, monitoring visitor logs, and directing deliveries and contractors to designated areas.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activities, patrol observations, and incident responses, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
