Coreslab Structures (OKLA) Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic. For over 30 years, Coreslab has built its reputation as the premier provider of precast concrete products in Oklahoma and surrounding regions. The Oklahoma City plants produce a full range of structural and architectural prestressed / precast concrete products for a wide array of building structures including parking garages, stadiums, office buildings, storm shelters, warehouses, data centers, highway bridges and many more.

Requirements:

Heavy equipment maintenance experience—ideally those who have worked on machinery such as:

  • Tractors (large-scale)
  • Balers
  • Bulldozers
  • Excavators
  • Loaders (e.g., skid steers, wheel loaders)
  • Graders
  • Cranes
  • Backhoes
  • Compactors and rollers

Operation:

Operating the concrete batching system (often computer-controlled) to transfer materials from storage to the mixer, ensuring accurate mix designs, slump, and other specifications.

? ? Quality Control:

Monitoring the mixing process, performing quality assurance tests, and ensuring the final product meets the required standards.

? ? Maintenance:

Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on the batch plant equipment and reporting any major issues to the plant manager.

? ? Inventory Management:

Keeping track of material levels, ordering supplies, and managing the storage and delivery of aggregates and other materials.

? ? Safety:

Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment, and performing pre-start checks to confirm the plant is safe to operate.

? ? Communication:

Maintaining clear communication with dispatchers, drivers, and other plant personnel regarding production schedules, material needs, and any issues that arise.

? ? Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of production, material usage, and maintenance activities.

    Essential Skills and Qualifications:

    • Technical Skills:

    Knowledge of concrete mix designs, batching procedures, and the operation of concrete mixing equipment.

    ? ? Mechanical Aptitude:

    Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment.

    ? ? Attention to Detail:

    Accuracy in following mix designs, monitoring production, and maintaining accurate records.

    ? ? Physical Stamina:

    Ability to perform manual tasks, lift materials, and work in various weather conditions.

    ? ? Communication Skills:

    Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other personnel.

    ? ? Problem-Solving:

    Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

    ? ? Safety Awareness:

    Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to batch plant operation.

    ? ? Experience:

    Previous experience in a ready-mix or precast concrete plant is often preferred
