Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive corneal and external disease care including diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment
  • Perform advanced corneal procedures including corneal transplantation, refractive surgery, and anterior segment reconstruction
  • Deliver general ophthalmology services including comprehensive eye examinations, cataract evaluations, and medical eye care
  • Maintain a balanced clinical schedule with 60% corneal specialty work and 40% general ophthalmology
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary ophthalmology team to provide integrated patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice protocols
  • Contribute to practice growth and development through excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Engage in continuing medical education and professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency training
  • Fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease from an accredited program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology
  • Eligible for or current holder of California medical license
  • Strong clinical skills in corneal surgery, anterior segment procedures, and general ophthalmology
