Job Purpose:
Hiring company is a project-based company. Associate Project Managers are expected to manage program details and invest the time necessary to ensure successful delivery. The successful candidate will ensure they have knowledge of scope, budget, and timing. They will maintain program schedules as reviewed by the lead project manager, run team meetings to ensure the team is aligned to the project schedule and budget. Track open issues, and manage their closure, and work closely with customers to ensure the company delivers on its commitments as contracted. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented and will understand project management principals and tools.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Manager will perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:
- Assist in managing program scope, budget, and schedule
- Conduct project kickoff meetings with sales and engineering teams
- Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
- Understand the scope of work and customer’s requirements for each project ensuring deliverables meet defined standards
- Track project schedules and deadlines, following up with team members to ensure tasks are on track
- Perform weekly reporting on project status, cost, and risks
- Prepare project documentation required by the customer
- Lead weekly or biweekly review meetings with customer and internal team members
- Maintain records of communication with customers, vendors, and internal communications
- Assure timely resolution of issues
- Generate change orders for any customer requests that are out of scope. Work with Sales to provide pricing to the customer.
- Lead team(s) to perform installation and buy-off of projects on the customer floor
- Perform and assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Speak in front of groups and perform presentations if required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Project and Excel
- Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Valid driver’s license, have or be able to acquire a valid passport, and be able to travel internationally
Helpful but not necessary:
- Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Understanding of automotive specifications related to IWT products and customer requirements
- Demonstrate ability to innovate and participate with new ideas and products development
- Working knowledge of machine tools as related to the automotive industry
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience required
Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field
Work Conditions
This job operates in both an office and plant environments. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photo copiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, hand tools, and other machines. The manufacturing plants are industrial environments that require the use of certain personal protective equipment and a familiarity with a number of safety practices.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and lift components up to 50 lbs.
Direct Reports
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel
Overnight travel and travel abroad is occasionally required (20% - 30% travel)
