Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers in their shopping experience. Your ability to engage with customers, sell products, and maintain a positive shopping environment will contribute to the overall success of our retail operations.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and provide assistance throughout their shopping journey.
Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend products that meet those needs.
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
Upsell products by promoting additional items that complement customer purchases.
Maintain a clean and organized sales display, ensuring merchandise is well-stocked and presented attractively.
Assist in inventory management by restocking display cases and conducting regular inventory checks.
Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall customer experience.
Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.
Qualifications
Must be able to work Saturdays and major Holidays.
Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for engaging with customers both in-person and over the phone.
Proficient cash handling skills with basic math abilities for accurate transactions.
Experience in a grocery store setting is a plus but not required.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with diverse customers.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated to meet individual sales targets.
