We are looking for candidates ready to begin their path in the role of Bankruptcy Specialist I. The Bankruptcy Specialist’s primary focus is to monitor bankruptcy accounts in assigned portfolio of loans to ensure appropriate action is administered to comply with client and bankruptcy rules and regulations. The candidate will work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to exceeding expectations and customer satisfaction.
KEY JOB DUTIES
• Review court docket and case information via electronic case monitoring to promptly determine when attorney action is required and refer to local counsel as necessary
• Payment Delinquency tracking
• Respond to routing inquiries from clients, attorneys, vendors, and internal departments regarding files assigned
• Review, analyst, and take appropriate action on all mail relevant to client and assigned files
• Respond to court notifications and inquiries received from clients, debtors, and debtor’s attorneys
• Close files appropriately and timely
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Review NDC and Trustee websites to determine status of Claims
• Review Plans to determine treatment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent oral, written and communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow in a high-volume production environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma with 3-5 years of verifiable work experience required (will consider bachelor’s degree in lieu of work experience)
• 1+ years of Consumer Bankruptcy or Consumer Lending Experience
