Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 remote after 90 days)

Must have prior funds experience

2 Step Interview Process
Key Responsibilities
-
Assist in fund formation and entity organization
-
Manage investor onboarding and closings
-
Prepare and file regulatory documents (Form D, ADV, Blue Sky, FATCA/CRS)
-
Maintain fund databases and corporate records
-
Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and consultants
-
Conduct legal research (securities/funds regulations)
-
Draft legal documents: correspondence, certificates, governance docs
-
Support fund operations (amendments, communications, dissolution)
-
Ensure proper execution and documentation storage
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Paralegal Certificate preferred)
-
3+ years in private funds, investment management, or corporate law
-
Strong understanding of fund structures & securities regulations
-
Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills
-
Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, legal research tools, NetDocs, SharePoint
-
Works independently and collaboratively
Preferred Skills
-
Experience with investor portals and fund management platforms
-
Familiarity with SEC, CFTC, and state securities regulations
-
Comfort working with institutional investors and complex fund structures
$35-50/hr
