Job Description
Operator will be responsible for producing parts from metal and other materials using a Press Brake, a computer numeric (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends, punches and cuts into materials.
- Make machine adjustments to control the speed and path of bend.
- Make sure the machine is well maintained, properly set up and working at capacity
- Perform periodic checks on output and producing quality product.
- Ensure the parts are to the part drawing, free of defects and ready for the next step in the production process.
- Read blue prints or plans for the finished products
- Attention to detail is important in the fact that if some parts are off by millimeters, it can be a critical error.
- Problem solve to know why machine is not running at peak performance and how to correct errors.
- All other duties assigned.
