Our organization is currently looking for an obstetrics hospitalist physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a facility in Virginia. This position involves 24-hour on-call responsibilities, with assistance from a team of obstetricians, general surgeons, and emergency medicine specialists.
Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring is mandatory
License Requirements:
- A valid medical license in Virginia is required
Patient Volume:
- Approximately 72 deliveries each month
Work Environment:
- Labor and delivery unit
Schedule:
- 24-hour on-call coverage
Support Staff:
- Collaboration with other obstetricians, general surgeons, and emergency medicine professionals
- In-house anesthesia services available around the clock
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Coverage for labor and delivery
- Management of emergent gynecological cases only
- Handling both assigned and unassigned patient deliveries
Call Schedule:
- 24-hour on-call duty
