Software Developer Position in Nashville Suburb

Hiring process: Phone screening; 2 hour in-office (or virtual video call) interview

Responsibilities include:

Analyze, design, modify, and develop real time custom automation control programs in C# and MS SQL Server
Employ best practices and QMSI coding standards for existing and new projects
Work directly with customers and other QMSI departments during project development, deployment, and support
Independently perform field installations (average 35% travel per year; can exceed 50% over a give 6-month period)
Troubleshoot complex issues
Mentor junior developers and lead small project teams

Minimum Job Requirements include:

Ability to code in multiple high-level languages (C# a plus)
Ability to install and configure Windows operating systems
Ability to test and debug code written by others (without re-writing it), to perform software integration tests from written test procedures, and to identify need for, and develop test programs for module testing critical code segments
Knowledge of at least one database product (MS SQL Server a plus)
- Ability to create tables and stored procedures
- Proficient with SQL – ability to query and manipulate test data in a database
Ability to prototype development for new technologies
Good familiarity with network structures and tools
Ability to write small software quotes and review larger quotes.
Must be US citizen or green card holder
