About this position:The Remittance Specialist has the responsibility of ensuring customer utility transactions are processed timely and accurately according to defined instructions. About this job: Scan, print, file, sort, route, and retrieve incoming mailingsOperate machinery for mail extractionOperate machinery that images bill stubs and checks Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain machinery to function properlyAccurately apply customer payments using appropriate equipment/systems/softwareBalance cash drawer daily; make bank depositsCreate reporting and balance with bank deposits from previous day to submit to accountingAssist local offices with payment relates issuesIdentify and resolve errors and misapplied paymentsComplete daily queries and processes to ensure accurate and timely payment processingReview daily bank statements, process bank adjustments, and returned payments on customer's accountsProvide customer service/support in relation to payment issues and communicationsProcess Return MailParticipate in task rotation with other team members Work overtime including evenings and weekends when neededWork closely as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasksThe ability to maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position, consistent with applicable laws and reasonable accommodation requirementsWork in an environment where work volumes change constantlyAll NorthWestern Energy employees are required to adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & EthicsEnsure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectivesAm I right for this job?
