The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of a significant framework migration project. This includes transitioning from ASP.NET to a LAMP stack, overseeing complete code redevelopment, managing extensive data migration, and integrating new mobile and multimedia functionalities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a meticulous approach to project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, and delivery for the migration of an existing ASP.NET framework to a modern LAMP framework (PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML, jQuery).
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee comprehensive code redevelopment, ensuring all new code adheres to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 compliance standards.
- Manage the complete data migration strategy and execution from MS SQL Server to MySQL for the entire site.
- Direct the migration of four critical databases: manufacturer/MIC, recalls, document library, and image library.
- Facilitate the implementation of new web technologies, including embedded video capabilities and enhanced mobile responsiveness across the platform.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication to stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and foster strong communication across development teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Monitor and report on project progress, budget, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is mandatory.
- Proven senior-level experience managing complex IT migration projects, specifically involving comprehensive framework transitions and data migrations.
- Demonstrable understanding of both Microsoft (ASP.NET, MS SQL Server) and open-source (LAMP stack: PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML, jQuery) technologies.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience ensuring Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 compliance.
- Experience with managing projects involving embedded video and mobile capability implementation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing projects in a government or highly regulated environment.
