Security Solution Architect
Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: Onsite 5 days per week
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Clearance Requirement: Active TS clearance required at time of application; must be willing and able to obtain SCI access and pass a CI polygraph
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Solution Architect to support a federal cybersecurity environment. This role is responsible for interpreting federal cybersecurity laws, policies, directives, executive orders, standards, and related requirements, and translating them into practical, compliant technical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in security architecture, a deep understanding of federal security frameworks and requirements, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret federal government laws, policies, directives, standards, executive orders, and other cybersecurity requirements into actionable technical guidance
- Translate complex technical and compliance requirements for both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical specifications and security requirements are met within required timelines
- Design and implement secure solutions that align with documented federal security requirements
- Ensure systems and solutions meet or exceed required security policies, standards, and implementation guidance
- Support security architecture activities across design, evaluation, planning, testing, and operational improvement
- Optimize current solutions to ensure they remain secure, efficient, and cost-effective
- Collaborate across teams to solve complex security challenges and develop innovative approaches to mission needs
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen
- Active Top Secret clearance at the time of application
- Willing and able to obtain SCI access and pass a CI polygraph
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in security architecture or a related field
- Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret federal government policy, law, directives, standards, and executive orders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking for solution design
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and improving secure technical solutions
