We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Property Accountant to join our growing team in the Accounting + Finance industry. This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to utilize your expertise in Commercial Real Estate Accounting, Shopping Center Property, and MRI. You will have the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Property Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing and managing all financial aspects of assigned properties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
3. Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
4. Using Yardi and GL for efficient and effective financial management and reporting.
5. Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
6. Providing financial support and guidance to property managers and other team members.
7. Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
8. Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Property Accountant role will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a related field.
2. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.
3. Proficiency in Yardi, GL, Commercial Real Estate Accounting, Shopping Center Property, and MRI.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
