Position Summary
The Senior Technician at Valvoline Express Care plays a critical role in delivering exceptional service, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring vehicle maintenance is performed efficiently and accurately. This position requires advanced technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Advanced Services:
- Conduct oil changes, fluid exchanges, and preventive maintenance in accordance with Valvoline standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle maintenance issues beyond basic services.
- Execute specialized services such as transmission fluid exchange, differential services, and fuel system cleaning.
- Leadership & Training:
- Mentor and train entry-level technicians on proper service techniques, safety, and quality standards.
- Assist in scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring team productivity.
- Serve as acting supervisor in the absence of the Service Center Manager.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate maintenance needs and service recommendations clearly to customers.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience by delivering fast, friendly, and professional service.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA standards and company policies.
- Follow proper procedures for handling chemicals, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in automotive maintenance or related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vehicle systems.
- Ability to lead and train a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
