SERVER ASSISTANT

Honorable Mention is an elevated sports bar delivering a refined yet approachable game-day experience, that will be opening late February/early March 2026. We offer curated cocktails, large-format TVs, and a comfortable, energetic atmosphere designed for connection and excitement. Our menu features thoughtfully crafted small-plate shareables alongside bold, show-stopping entres meant to be enjoyed together. Barback / Food Runner / Busser Hybrid)


Role Summary
Server Assistants are the backbone of service flow, ensuring tables turn efficiently, food arrives hot, and the bar stays stocked and ready.


Key Responsibilities

• Run food quickly and accurately from the kitchen
• Assist bartenders as a barback (ice, glassware, restocking)
• Clear, reset, and maintain tables
• Support servers with refills, pre-bussing, and guest needs
• Keep service stations stocked and organized
• Assist expo and kitchen during peak service times
• Maintain cleanliness in guest and service areas

Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to identify menu items and table numbers
• Strong sense of urgency and teamwork
• Physical stamina for fast-paced service
• Clear communication with FOH and BOH
• Willingness to step into multiple support roles as needed
