Job Title: Technician
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Minneapolis, MN 55432
Shift: 1st Shift
Role Overview
• Perform mechanical and electrical testing on medical devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders)
• Ensure product quality and reliability through structured testing and validation
• Support data collection, analysis, and documentation in a regulated lab environment
Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot test equipment (vibration, environmental chambers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Execute test plans and follow work instructions and industry standards
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and packaging testing
• Collect, analyze, and document test data using Excel and systems
• Perform calibration, alignment, and maintenance of equipment
• Read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings
• Communicate test progress, issues, and timelines to stakeholders
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with FDA/quality standards
• Support multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Assist in improving testing processes and lab efficiency
Must Have
• 2+ years of testing experience (mechanical/electrical)
• Basic experience with test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
• Ability to follow written instructions and procedures
• Strong documentation and data collection skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have
• Medical device testing experience
• Knowledge of FDA regulations or regulated environments
• Experience with EMC, vibration, or environmental testing
• Soldering and assembly experience
• Familiarity with calibration and metrology
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards
