Job Description
- Greet patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist patients with forms, records requests, and general questions
- Answer and manage incomming phone calls
- Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Collect copays, deductibles, and patient balances when applicable
- Obtain and scan insurance cards, ID's, and other documents
- Assist with insurance eligibility and benefit verification
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records and follow HIPPA requirements
- Manage incoming and outgoing faxes
- Route messages to the appropriate clinical staff
- Monitor the patient portal and assist patients with portal asscess when needed
- Maintain an organized front desk and waiting area
- Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the daily operation of the practice
- Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
