The Foreclosure Associate Attorney will work within the firm’s litigation and real estate/creditors’ rights groups, handling foreclosure and related real property litigation matters from inception through resolution. Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of foreclosure litigation, including drafting and filing pleadings in state and federal court.
Manage discovery, including written discovery, document production, and ESI protocols.
Draft motions, oppositions, and memoranda on foreclosure and real property litigation issues.
Attend conferences, hearings, and courtroom appearances with minimal supervision.
Support and coordinate with partners and senior attorneys on strategy and case management.
Liaise with clients and third parties on case status, deadlines, and administrative matters.
Maintain accurate case and calendar management for multiple active matters.
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
3+ years of litigation experience preferred, with exposure to real property or related civil litigation.
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Familiarity with New York foreclosure procedures, real estate litigation, and creditors’ rights a strong plus.
Comfort handling court filings, motion practice, and appearances.
Ability to manage a robust docket of active cases with attention to detail and responsiveness.
