General Summary:

This position is based within a Lucchese Distribution/Production site. It is responsible for detecting and deterring Employee and third-party activity that would otherwise result in a loss to company assets. LP Investigators assist in promoting and monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures related to theft prevention, safety, and inventory control while maintaining a professional attitude with sincerity and integrity. Further promotes awareness and training within various areas of operational execution. Management will modify the job or require other tasks to be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing any legal obligations, including any collective bargaining obligations. Exceeds the expectations of Lucchese personnel and staff. The Loss Prevention Investigator will need to be able to effectively communicate with all Lucchese personnel and customers in a professional manner.

Leadership Focus/Steward of the Brand:

As a Lucchese Loss Prevention Investigator, you prioritize contributing to the operations of Lucchese Production and Warehouse Center.

Operational Excellence Focus:

  • This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Loss Prevention.
  • Open both Lucchese locations, Production and Distribution Center, based on company needs. Which includes but is not limited to turning on all designated breakers, light switches and machines as well as ensuring all doors are properly functioning during operating hours for proper exit procedures.
  • Close both Lucchese locations, Production and Distribution Center, based on company needs. Which includes but is not limited to turning off all designated breakers, light switches, machines and ensuring all doors are secured.
  • Conduct camera surveillance and detect loss.
  • Perform operational audits, (production count, belt count, etc.) and stimulate merchandise prevention standards.
  • Investigate deception during opening, in process, and closing warehouse as well as provide necessary physical security.
  • Conduct internal misappropriation investigations and inventory deficiency reduction.
  • Support law enforcement with prosecutions and investigations.
  • Provide ample security and safety modes for all company property and assets.
  • Initiate investigations on vendor theft, employee theft, and inventory as well as warehouse shortage.
  • Identify and report to direct supervisor any theft or company policy violations committed by employees.
  • Work physical surveillance on the production floor and other areas of company property, as well as through the building's CCTV system.
  • Effectively perform job functions while working independently.
  • Identify, observe, and deter individuals committing external theft.
  • Perform checklists and audits and communicate findings with leadership.
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all warehouse personnel, factory personnel, Loss Prevention personnel, business partners, admin, and executive personnel.
  • Serve as a guide to new and existing investigators.
  • Prepare written reports on investigations.
  • Regularly conduct floor surveillance through foot patrols on Distribution and Production floor.
  • Prepare and submit daily activity reports to the Sr. Manager of Loss Prevention.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Sr. Manager of Loss Prevention.

Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to access all the company’s properties to inspect security measures.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to perform all physical requirements to work within logistics environment.
