Job Title: Oracle APEX Developer
Location: Albany, New York
Duration: 30 Months
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise database applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL development, Oracle Application Express (APEX), and production support in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle-based applications and database solutions.
- Build and enhance web-based database applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL code including stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Create and maintain database objects, queries, and performance tuning solutions.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application and database issues and implement effective resolutions.
- Monitor production environments and ensure the stability and reliability of applications.
- Support scheduled production processes and respond to operational issues as needed.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment guides.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, database administrators, and development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Oracle Database Development
- 7+ years of experience working directly with Oracle 12c or higher.
- Extensive experience with PL/SQL development, including:
- Stored Procedures
- Functions
- Database Objects
- Table Management
- Query Optimization and Performance Tuning
- Business Rule Implementation
Application Development
- 7+ years of experience performing application development using PL/SQL.
- 5+ years of experience developing web-based database applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
Production Support
- 5+ years of experience supporting production environments and operational processes.
- Experience monitoring and supporting high-volume scheduled production jobs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Scripting & Automation
- 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining production runbooks and operational documentation.
- Experience with shell scripting.
- Perl scripting experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
