Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting in providing effective and preventive machine/equipment/building maintenance to enable the company to maintain optimum production capability and product/service quality assurance. With Safety at the forefront. The training period expected to be a year depending on level of experience and technical skill. This role is located in Heyco Reading, PA and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $26.17 per hour
Weekly Incentive: $5.00+ per hour
Available Schedules:
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance of all process equipment within the facility.
- Learn the preventative maintenance schedule
- Assist in building maintenance
- Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools
- Proficient in the operation, preparation and shutdown of equipment.
- Proficient in welding, pipefitting, hydraulics, electrical (3 phase 480, PLC knowledge) and machine repair.
- Cross training required in the roll grind shop
- Trained and follow hot work program
- Trained and follow working at heights program
- Trained and follow Arc Flash program
- Able to be approved to wear a tight-fitting respirator requiring fit testing.
- Able to be certified in forklift operation
- Able to be certified in High lift operation
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Minimum of three years of electrical experience (3 phase, 480v).
- Willingness to learn welding, pipefitting, hydraulics, and machine repair.
- Able to work overtime or on call.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Pick up ordered maintenance parts, as needed utilizing the company van. – drivers license required.
