We are a Family Office with a growing Property Management company currently overseeing 150-200 residential and commercial units across multiple properties. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lease Administration: Manage the full lifecycle of lease administration across the property portfolio.
- System Management: Set up new leases in AppFolio, track security deposits accurately, and record all tenant collections.
- Ledger Maintenance: Keep precise, up-to-date tenant ledgers and resolve account discrepancies.
- Journal Entries: Partner directly with the Property Manager to ensure the accuracy of journal entries across multiple properties.
- Accounts Payable: Assist the property management team with the end-to-end accounts payable process.
- NYC Compliance: Assist with compliance-related filings specific to New York City regulations and agencies.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Support the team with financial reporting, audits, and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
• Strong working knowledge of AppFolio, QuickBooks, or Yardi.
• Strong technology skills (including Excel)
• Client service oriented with a profession mindset and strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task effectively, and maintain strict attention to detail in a fast- paced environment.
