Step into a dynamic school-based setting supporting K-12 students as a dedicated school psychologist. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact, with flexible summer hours available before the academic year begins. With approximately 720 students in the district, including about 150 students on IEPs, your expertise will enhance the educational journey of diverse learners. Be prepared to engage with a team of educators and administrators committed to fostering an inclusive environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility)
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in school settings
- Knowledge of special education procedures, IEP development, and psychoeducational assessments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families
- Ability to develop and implement interventions supporting student growth
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological services, including evaluation, counseling, and crisis intervention
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and assist in determining eligibility for special services
- Facilitate the development and implementation of IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to design effective learning and behavioral strategies
- Promote a positive, supportive school climate conducive to student achievement and well-being
