Director of Supply Chain

$165-190k plus 20% bonus
A fast-growing food manufacturing company specializing in private label and co-manufacturing is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to lead and build out their supply chain function. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a team of three with broad responsibility across procurement, purchasing, and planning, and close collaboration with logistics, warehousing, and scheduling across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the supply chain team of three, providing day-to-day oversight, mentorship, and performance management
- Own the procurement and purchasing function, managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and vendor performance
- Oversee supply planning and demand forecasting to ensure continuity of supply and alignment with production schedules
- Work cross-functionally with logistics, warehousing, and scheduling teams to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain execution across multiple facilities
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive cost savings, efficiency, and scalability as the business continues to grow
- Manage supplier risk and develop contingency strategies to mitigate supply disruptions
- Partner with operations, finance, and senior leadership on supply chain strategy, reporting, and performance metrics
- Drive ERP utilization and data integrity across supply chain functions
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive supply chain experience with a strong foundation in procurement required
- Previous experience managing supply chain operations for a $100M+ business with multi-site supply chain oversight experience required
- Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- ERP proficiency required; NetSuite experience a strong plus
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality with the ability to think and operate strategically
