Job Description

This role involves performing a variety of general labor tasks in a construction and concrete production environment. You will work with hand and power tools, handle rebar, read and use tape measures, and support daily operations throughout the plant as needed. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions accurately in a non-climate-controlled setting.

Responsibilities

Perform general labor tasks to support daily plant operations in a construction and concrete production environment.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
Work with rebar, including handling, positioning, and preparing materials for use in construction or concrete applications.
Read and accurately utilize a tape measure, including measurements down to a quarter of an inch.
Assist with loading materials and products as needed.
Support industrial, construction, and general production activities as directed.
Learn and apply basic blueprint reading to complete assigned tasks.
Follow written and verbal instructions carefully to ensure work is completed accurately and safely.
Perform repetitive tasks consistently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Help maintain a clean and organized work area despite working in a dirty, concrete-focused environment.
Adapt to working both indoors and outdoors in a non-climate-controlled facility.

Work Environment

You will work in a combination of indoor and outdoor areas within a non-climate-controlled facility. The environment can be dirty due to regular work with concrete and related materials, so you should be comfortable working in dusty and rugged conditions. The role involves frequent use of hand and power tools, handling rebar, and performing repetitive tasks as part of industrial and construction-related production. Appropriate work attire and protective gear will be necessary to safely and effectively perform daily duties in this setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fuquay Varina, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
