Job SummaryWe are seeking a Security Operations Specialist II to join our team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of operational tasks related to complex securities or cash transactions that require extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills. This position requires someone who can handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex securities or cash transactions: Differentiate, process, and ensure accuracy in transaction handling.
- Research inquiries and resolve customer complaints: Address client issues and provide timely, accurate responses.
- Review time-sensitive and complex documents: Ensure thorough examination and processing of critical paperwork.
- Create or revise departmental procedures: Contribute to the development and improvement of operational guidelines.
- Coordinate cross-departmental situations: Manage workflows and communications between multiple departments.
- Provide department-level reporting: Use multiple data sources to generate accurate and timely reports.
- Provide training and work direction to junior staff members.
- Provide back-up support for other desks when necessary.
- Perform day-to-day processing: Ensure smooth daily operations of security transactions and processes.
- Engage in risk management and compliance: Adhere to regulatory standards and ensure minimal risk exposure.
- Handle maintenance and set-up tasks for security-related systems or processes.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 3–5+ years of experience in customer service, operations, financial services, or business processing.
- Proven experience in performing complex transactions, reconciliation, and processing tasks.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing and documentation.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment in decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a securities or financial services environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with risk management and compliance procedures.
- Ability to train and guide junior staff, enhancing team performance and knowledge.
Certifications
- Required: None specified.
- Preferred: Any certifications related to financial services or operations management are a plus.
