POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Gift Shop and Pub Attendant

Department: Life Enrichment

Reports to: Director, Life Enrichment

Position Information: Part Time, about 15.0 hours per week

Qualifications:

High School graduate or GED equivalent. Able to run cash register, restock shelves, purchase items, open pub, tend bar, engage and encourage residents, families and visitors to enjoy the atmosphere of the pub. Assist shoppers when needed. Must be 21 years of age to work in the Pub.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Run cash register.

1. Re-order or purchase items when needed.

1. Keep inventory of items in the gift shop.

1. Decorate gift shop for the seasons or holidays.

1. Organize special sale events.

1. Able to make specified drinks in the pub.

1. Keep inventory of liquor and other items in pub needed to make drinks or offer drinks, such as soda’s, beer, wine, or water.

1. Encourage residents, families or visitors to enjoy the pub.

1. Transport residents to their neighborhood if needed.

1. Observe infection control procedures.

1. Work flexible hours.

1. Follow Resident’s Rights policies and procedures.

1. Provide a safe environment for residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

1. Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.

1. Work independently and to function as an effective team member.

1. Follow dress code of the life enrichment department.

1. Focus on person-centered care by promoting day to day interactions that are essential to that philosophy. Forming personal and nurturing relationships with residents.

18. Follow facility safety programs.

19. Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.

20. Relate to residents, families and staff in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.

21. Assume accountability for data contained in the Staff Handbook.

22. Understand and comply with the Corporate Compliance Program.
