Job Summary: The Security Technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems.
- Strong Integration background to include Access control installation and programming capabilities
- Strong Security Camera Integration installation with programming capabilities
- Strong knowledge of commercial security systems for various different components to be considered such as:
- IDS Intrusion detection systems (Bosch, Honeywell, DMP,DSX)
- Video Management Storage (Milestone, Genetech, Avigilon, Exacq, Eagle Eye , Open Eye)
- CCTV IP & analog Camera & Cloud Based platforms (Axis, Avigilon, Hanwah, Ava, FLIR,Open Eye, Eagle Eye)
- ACS (Lenel, Genetec, Softwarehouse, Brivo, S2, Bosch, Open Path, Amag )
- Intercoms ( Aiphone, Butterfly MX)
- Long Range Radio (Siklu, Motorola
- Automatic Gates (door king,Vertex)
- Credential and ID badging knowledge (falls under Access control)
- How to sensor and trigger alarms – CCTV & IDS & ACS
- Perimeter alarms – Photo electric beams
- Shooter detection (falls under analytics of CCTV)
- Turnstiles (Alvarado)
- CISCO Networking a HUGE Plus
Responsibilities:
- Travel to commercial client sites to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems.
- Work with electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices, IP/analog cameras, head-end video recording devices, wired/wireless systems, and intercom systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance, standards, and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
- Execute, document, and track service-related issues through ServiceNow in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and related documents for use in low-voltage applications.
- Provide phone and online remote diagnostic support with a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients.
- Collaborate and perform tasks with other internal teams and clients as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a company-issued vehicle.
- Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in the electronic security industry.
- Possession of state-specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hired.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly navigate and oversee the use of multiple systems and applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills to document and report important information with all levels of the organization.
